Gordon Simmons Service Credit Union ACUM Chair 2001 – 2021 Gets Commemorative Brick Recognizing Achievements

Gordon Simmons recently attended an America’s Credit Union Museum (ACUM) Board Dinner last evening in Manchester NH followed by an event at the Museum that same day.  The event was induction into the “Herstory” of six credit union professional women who have made a huge difference & impression on the credit union movement over decades of dedicated contributions.  At today’s Herstory induction ceremony, I was recognized by the ACUM Chair as the former Chairman of the Board having spent 10 years from 2001-2012 in that position.

Gordon was advised, prior to today’s event that a paving brick (see photo above) bearing his name as Chairman was laid at the ACUM entrance along with other prestigious credit union dignitaries/supporters names, which is quite an honor.  In Gordon’s opinion, this is similar to recognizing the Who’s Who of credit union professionals & ACUM supporters.  While at the ACUM ceremony, Gordon viewed his named brick and presented a sizable contribution to the Museum with ACUM Executive Director Stephanie Smith accepting (see Photo above).
